Creighton Counselling NI is a professional private practice offering sessions Online and in-person on Malone Road, Belfast.
I am a down to earth counsellor with several years experience of working with people in a community based counselling service and in private practice. As a counsellor, I try to help people find meaning, recognize what they are going through and to find the strength within themselves to move forward and carry on. I pride myself in creating a safe and inclusive space for counselling.
I hold a PgDip. Counselling and Therapeutic Communication and I am an Accredited Member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
*due to ongoing social distancing restrictions, counselling appointments are still primarily by phone or video call only for the time being. However I do have provision to see a small number of clients in my counselling room on Malone Road, Belfast, near Queens University (click here for map).
Society is structured in such a way that it can be very easy to lose touch with ourselves, resulting in behaviour and decisions that are at odds with how we truly feel.
I believe that people shouldn’t have to deal with their problems on their own and that is my main motivation for being a counsellor.
My life’s journey has been far from straight forward and that allows me to examine how the (often) invisible pressures and restrictive boxes/categories of society can stop people expressing themselves in ways that make them feel happy and fulfilled.
By combining my counselling training with my life experience, I have created a safe and creative setting where clients can work through their thoughts, feelings and emotions and get to know them selves better in a relaxing and confidential space without judgement.
